Dr. Elizabeth E. Lloyd-Richardson is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Staff Psychologist at The Miriam Hospital. Her research focuses on the development and implementation of strategies aimed at improving the health behavior of adolescents and young adults, namely in the areas of weight management, smoking cessation, and prevention of nonsuicidal self-injury. She is the recipient of NIH and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funding in the areas of young adult smoking cessation and adolescent weight management, most recently receiving an NIH career development award designed to evaluate and target factors predicting weight gain among college freshmen. Dr. Lloyd-Richardson is Director of the Miriam Hospital’s Adolescent Weight Management Program and provides both clinical and research supervision to psychology interns, medical students, and postdoctoral fellows on health behavior change among youth.
